"Restrictions on traveling, shopping and simply hanging with friends and family midst the pandemic has resulted in unheard-of ME TIME. Losing my job limits the options to amuse myself when not searching for other work. Exercise helps but does little for mental stimulation. To fill this need, I've been posting to a diary. This is the first activity I've ever attempted which demands 100% of mental capacity. I totally lose myself in it. Now, I'm writing about the experience(s). #SoItBegins #NormalWorld #setting

“We're expecting our first grandchild any day now. When we first learned of the pregnancy, we started a diary capturing our perspective as impending grandparents. Our intentions are to make it an activity we can perform with her until she's old enough to post for herself. It will be our special activity together.”

“I took on the task of tracing our family tree. Being from a large family, it has turned into a formidable undertaking because 'mystery' has emerged as a family trait. In an attempt to break this pattern and set a new trend, I laid down the law with my seven siblings and issued an ultimatum. It read: 'Unless the only reference you wish of your life in the our family genealogy to be birth and death announcements, I suggest you visit MHdiaries.com.'”

"Posting daily in my hero diaries has not only altered the thoughtfulness going into setting goals but also the passion and urgency in which I pursue them. As time passed, lack of progress on any also left a trail. This raised the concern 'How's that going to read?'"
